One should not stay in a hand just because they are already in it. In virtual poker, the common mistake beginners commit is thinking that “Well, I have already put this much in the pot and so I need to stay in now.” Never! One cannot win a pot just by throwing money into it. There might be cases wherein the pot odds warrant a call, but if anyone is sure they are beaten and there is no chance their hand can improve to be the best hand, they must fold that straightaway. The money they have already put in the pot is not theirs anymore, and they cannot get it back simply by playing a hand all the way finishing the game.
